Thankful.
Working backwards, stuff I’m thankful for from this past week:
Tonight- Indian food delivery just arrived, BAD LIEUTENANT PART OF CALL NEW ORLEANS is on and my friend CD is about two hours out from her arrival in LA to hang for the weekend. Tomorrow we are going to take S+W to see Santa then get lunch at The Apple Pan. I’ve always wanted to try it. I do love a greasy burger!

The Role of Mother as that of Shakespearean Fool.
Now that I’m a mom, I am using more of my degree in English than I ever did as a writer. How you ask? Well, by taking on the role of fool, in the Shakespearean sense, every single fucking day.
For those that need a refresher course, the “fool” character in Shakespeare is usually a commoner, like a clown or court jester, who uses his wits to outdo people of the upper class....
Thankful Thanksgiving.
